V/Line has a bus service from Ballarat to Hamilton via Dunkeld (Mon-Sat 2 daily, Sun 1 daily; Mon-Fri the morning service continues to Mount Gambier in South Australia), and a bus service from Warrnambool (1 daily Mon-Fri & Sun) V/Line timetables are prone to changes, so call 13 6196 to check the current schedule. Interstate buses to Adelaide travel the Western Highway via Ballarat, Ararat, Stawell, Horsham, Dimboola and Nhill. The Grampians Link consists of a train service from Melbourne to Ballarat and a connecting bus to Halls Gap, via Ararat and Stawell (1 daily). There's a nightly Overlander train service between Melbourne and Adelaide (departing Melbourne 9.30pm and arriving in Adelaide 10hr later), and a Daylink connection (train from Melbourne to Ballarat, and from there a connecting bus via Horsham and Dimboola to Adelaide).
